Today’s studio progress:

Well, as I mentioned yesterday, I had to go into town for my other job, so I wasn’t IN the studio much at all.

I did go out early and collect some of my mess into temporary containers. I needed to get an idea of what type of storage I needed and wanted. While perusing my Michael’s app, looking for small acrylic drawers (good golly Ms Molly they are expensive), I found something considerably bigger that I had been desiring for my space for YEARS and a little math told me that with my online-only coupon, I could actually get the bigger version cheaper! So….that went in the cart for pickup!

Off to work I went, and off to Michael’s pickup, and a sneak into Dollar Tree for two more small parts containers.

My cart!

With the added lid, it’s the perfect space to hold my DIY’d rotating cutting mat.

Meanwhile, my eldest in search of spending money, offered to do work in the studio for me. I needed my fabric refolded and organized into my bins. I received a text message asking me if I fully understood how much fabric I had and how few bins I had.

My reply: “girl, that ain’t even all my fabric”

She did get a couple of bins done! But that pesky bit where the prints are multicolored and your brain stalls out trying to figure out which color pile to put it in….yeah, that tripped her up.

I told her to leave it the way it was and I’d finish it up tomorrow.

Or maybe I’ll just shove it back in the bins and play with my new rolling cart.
