Today’s studio progress:

  • Printed, taped, and cut pattern for George and Ginger Little Black Bra
  • Cut out fabric for bra and pinned darts
  • Opened up the vintage Kenmore (set up for stitching knits) and proceeded to cuss for an hour. Two needs, four rethreads, oiling, opening and cleaning the bobbin case AGAIN, machine still stitching crazy or jamming so I packed it back up into the table, put Jamie (the Juki TL) back up onto the table and put the bra to the side. I picked up new ball point needles today and I’ll give it one more chance tomorrow.
  • Teen returned to finish her skirt from yesterday. Pockets and waistband attached. Final touches tomorrow, we were interrupted by a doctors appointment for her brother….today was the day his official cast for his broken finger would be put on.
  • As usual, I carried tatting shuttles with me to keep me entertained in waiting rooms. Despite his broken finger, my guy wanted me to teach him how to tat. He was actually doing pretty well, all things considered, but only managed one ring before handing it back to me.
  • Took son to lunch, got his cast, picked up groceries and machine needles and headed home.
  • OH! I almost forgot. I did add a few more rows to my upcycled tshirt yarn rug. I decided to use it under my sewing table to hold my pedal, but it’s wonky and isn’t laying as flat as I’d like it to lay. Most likely frogging a row or two tomorrow.

I’d love to actually finish the Little Black Bra tomorrow (mine is NOT black); however, after that I think I’ll go back to sorting and organizing. Or….I could clean my bedroom…or my kitchen….. maybe.
