Today’s progress:
Was no progress… at least not on sewing activities.
Last Friday, I was asked if I could do a “small alteration/hemming” on a bridesmaids dress to make it a shorter less formal dress on short notice. Since it was the daughter of a dear friend that was asking, of course I said yes! It was an interesting shade of “Paprika” and despite my large variety of threads, “Paprika” was not a shade I possessed. Besides, how could I turn down an opportunity to order from one of my favorite sites, WAWAK.com.
After moving my smaller IKEA shelf out of my room and into my studio, my room was left in horrible disarray. This weekend, I finally sucked it up and started making sense of what had been left behind. A lot of “studio related” items were collected and hauled out, and unfortunately just put in piles. So this wonderful Monday morning, I briefly made sense of the piles and cleared my chairs.
Anyone have a favorite laptop bag pattern or design? My new work laptop arrived and I need a bag. Nothing fancy, but my old laptop was 13” and this one is 17”. Nothing says you’re getting old more than having to go big screen on your laptop!
I’m also torn between making it in my own scrappy style or making it more business-y in black faux leather. I want to show my own style because the business I work with is very open to our own uniqueness, but I also want to look professional because, well, I am and I do my job well.
Maybe tomorrow will be more creative! For now, it’s time to Netflix and chill with my Mr B. Night y’all.
