I have always been a creative person; however, it wasn't until my children were born that I really started to foster my love for fiber arts. It began with sewing simple items for my children, and then expanded into making things for friends and family.
Eventually, my love of learning led me to branch out beyond basic sewing and simple crochet. I taught myself to knit, to spin yarn, and to needle tat.
I am completely incapable of doing the same thing over and over again. Most of my projects are one-offs, and I often get half-way through a perfectly good pattern only to start improvising and adding my own special twist.
This is how Sew Very Peculiar was born.
